I bought several of these on clearance from MidwayUSA for $15 each. I have several Cold Steel knives, but these have the the most difficult to employ back locks yet. Sometimes, I have to hit the release against a counter to get it to move. Also, these knives seem strong, but there are no liners inside the fiberglass reinforced nylon scales. The Pivot uses nylon bushings. The German 4116 steel is relatively soft, but very corrosion resistant. The pocket clip is screwed into a tiny steel plate that falls free once the screws are removed. To get them in place, I had to disassemble the knife. Disassembly of the knife is relatively easy. Cold Steel almost made a good budget knife here, but, even at $15 delivered, it was not a good purchase.
UPDATE: Now that I worked the knives enough to break them in, They work fine and go into my carry rotation. They are not as free moving as my other Cold Steel knives (3 Recon 1 large, 1 Recon 1 XL, Code 4), but they function very well now. It took a ton of hard opening and closing and now, all it well. These knives take an extremely sharp edge.. cut myself without feeling it.
