A 12 inch CPM3V blade for 200USD, I could not resist ! Technically this tanto XII is a wakisashi :-) Razor sharp out of the box as Coldsteel does, very high quality finish, I've never seen such a perfect sheath retention, I'm very happy with it, probably my best deal on drop so far !!!

Nice knife and sheath as Cold Steel usually does. Only concern however is the handle/tang alignment as the handle does not fit the tang as well as Id hoped for a knife of this price. Could be a Cold Steel QC issue at the factory ?

Good blade. "Exotic" steel at a good price. Too large to be of use to me, but that is not the knife's fault or Cold Steel's The blade needs to be kept lubricated as, amazing as 3V steel is, it rusts. Also, sharpening a tanto is a bit more challenging. Again, these are not "faults" of the blade, just making sure other buyers are aware.

Best blade I own to date. Just by holding it in your hand you can tell the build quality is premium. The sharpest edge from the factory I've gotten to date. I would recommend.
