I love this video... Just everything about it makes me laugh and give these guys a high five. Right away you can tell that they filmed on a set they must have rented after they finished a BSDM porn shoot. Then, we get right to the fat man cutting stuff, which is clearly what sells this sword. The sweaty fat dudes keep rolling in to cut various stuff – one guy liked pork, another beef, others just wanted soda bottles. Why bother taking off your button down dressy shirt before going to town on some animal remains and thick ropes, the sweat stains and baseball-swings into flesh and bone lock in the understanding that everyone, even the fat and out of shape, need to buy this sword. After cutting things orgy slowed down, we get to see the victors surveying the aftermath of the battle, recapping the damage in case viewers lost count. All the while, our stars are wearing facial expressions that say, "That's right, I'm an irrefutably badass samurai and it’s OK that you’re jealous."
Seriously though, I think the Cold Steel guys did this tongue in cheek expecting to get some laughs while still demonstrating durability. If not, then they accidentally made a most hilarious video that serves as a caricature of TV salesmanship gimmicks while also looking like some dudes who never left their mother’s basement and obsess over knives, etc. Either way, it’s a great video and I’d buy one if I didn’t already have Frodo’s Sting on my wall from when I was much younger.
