Any idea of where you can find out the weight of this? I have another Colibri lighter and it works great but is too heavy to carry in your pocket IMHO.
Reilly58Well I did say pocket because that is probably what most people would relate to. But in reality I was asking because of your point - backpacking. These torch lighters are great for use with any backpacking stove but in particular alcohol stoves. I carry my current lighter, but would love something lighter.
Mine was working poorly out of the box... was only igniting about a third of the time.
The solution I found was to take a pair of tweezers and bend the ignition electrode upwards to force the spark to jump over a larger gap. Now it lights over 90% of the time. Much better.
I guess people will yell at me for asking, but how can anyone tell how large this object is? There are no reference pictures, like a hand holding it or a coin or pack of cigarettes next to it, and the specs do not list any dimensions that I can find.
Is it 1" tall? Is it 5" tall? Maybe there is some link I could click on or maybe I could Yahoo, or Bing it to search for more information, but it seems to me that it is not unreasonable to expect this information to be already present right here.
SundayylmaoThanks for finding that video for us. It gives a much better idea of what the object actually is.
It seems strange though, on a review of a lighter, that the reviewer never seemed to actually light the thing, or light a cigar with it since he calls it a cigar lighter. He may have explained why, but I can't listen to the sound here at work.
Thanks again, Sundayylmao!
