For those who need an information about this player.
I bought it and I used it for 16 days. It is delivered faster then I expected. Colorfly C4 is old DAP. I think people who are attracted to this player is thinking as second player. Because there are bunch of nice DAPs which have nice sound and brand new.
But C4 is the only DAP which have antic design. To people who like these kinds of design can't easily forget. And it has very nice sound too. I compared this DAP to WM1A, and it has better sound in my opinion. Background is very clean and wide, and power of sound is outstanding. I adjusted volume to 0.5cm higher then the lowest pitch when I listening to classical music. (lower when I listen to pop song.)
On the other hand, C4 have many defects. Maybe you saw the problem that the sticker on the back on the DAP leaves stain. If you remove it, it will leave a mark which is irremovable randomly. (Mine has stain too, but at least one of the buyers on this discussion page doesn't have that issue) I didn't care at first, but I am trying to replace it contacting Massdrop service. I want to experience C4 with perfect condition. That's why.
And Colorfly service center doesn't reply to the e-mail I sent. Maybe they are not available anymore. I sent the e-mail asking about the infotmation about Colorfly and C4, and they are not responding. But I am not sure other countries' service. My country has very serious relationship with China recently. If Massdrop doesn't support after service, maybe there is no way to get help when you get problem with the DAP.

It's stand-by time is very short also. If you turn off the screen only, it consumes battery really fast. It doesn't consume power much when you turn off the power though, so turn off when you don't use. Power on/off time is short, so I don't care about this issue much.
Also, and most seriously, it generates noise in many cases. (FW 1.00.02.01, old firmware) When you turn on/off the device with your earphone connected, it makes noise. Also, it generates noises when the player screen is on. (Not when the player screen is off) And it makes 'beep' sound quietly when you are pressing buttons on the player. Moreover, it suddenly makes very loud noise when you connect the earphones with remote control randomly. These defects are very serious issues. If they didn't solved these problems in the latest FW, I think people who do care these problems will disregard this player.

But, the sound makes people to forgive these problems. I think it is one of the best sounding players. Old firmware sounds best on this player according to reviewers. (That's why I am not upgrading firmware.) 3.5 mm port is not the main focus on this player. 6.3mm sounds way better than 3.5mm . (Wider stage, Clearer sound) If you didn't experience 6.3mm port, I highly recommend you to try it.

If anyone needs more information, I will tell as far as I can. Despite it has these defects, I am using it with high satisfaction. All I want is perfect look of the back of C4 now. If you had difficulty reading this, sorry about that. English is not my motherland's language.

Charles_Henry+ additional information.
I confirmed that 1.02.00.01 version is new firmware. Sorry for wrong information. Many sound shortcomings are not fixed I guess.
I received another C4. Massdrop service supporter defined the mark on the back is a defect. So I got new one. Firmware is 1.02.00.00, and there is no sound defects except turn on/off noise. (Also remote controller earphones. I didn't check that) Maybe older firmwares are better than new one? I'm not sure.
But, it creates mark on the back still. So I decided to just keep it.

JorgeDQuestyle is one of the best rated DAP in my country. I bet it is a good player. You got a good choice.;-)
But if you like well made sound, I recommend C4 strongly. I know there are so many defects, but the sound is really outstanding. I like the C4's sound better than WM1A.
Well, choice is up to you! Have a nice day with music;-)

Charles_HenryYears ago I bought the very first HiFi Man DAP, it sounded awesome but had the same software glitches as C4. Since then I know that I can live with Class B sound on the go but just cannot stand these constant freeze ups, dropouts and resets. Pono (but only in balanced mode) sounds pretty satisfactory to me, wish it was not so ugly and unfriendly for portable use!! thanks about Sony tip: it was on my wish list. Now it is down to Questyle for me

JorgeDNo problem;-) Giving advice to someone who need information is not a big deal. I didn't know about pono before you talk to me. It looks very interesting. Looking unique and nice. I don't know why people in my country didn't try that.
And about wm1a, it is very nice dap I gotta say. Worth every penny. Sounded very nice comparing to other DAPs which have similar price. No glitches, smooth touch, stable software, 4.4 balance port make users to use it in perfect condition. If you like to use DAP with great sound(4.4 port) and stable software, you should try it someday.;-)
