I like several of these shirts and would love to buy them, but I'm put off by the 48% polyester. I'm wondering why the manufacturer has made a decision to not use 100% cotton?

grumpasaurusrxBesides pricing, a lot of times is due to printing process -- the way the print gets applied onto the fabric sometimes is 'cooked' with heat and that only takes better onto organic-synthetic blends, and hence the choice. The heathering look/color on t-shirts also can only be created through blends.

TomasVI'm a little puzzled... you say the heathering look/color can only be created through blends, but I'm wearing a 100% cotton heather gray long sleeve tee from Eddie Bauer right now. Do you mind clarifying? Thanks!
(and nothing wrong with cotton/poly blends -- I have several that I like :-)
