For the people that are interested, you can now use the new tool. Be aware, this tool is still in beta!

PawnerdLooks good!
Can't get it to flash over, though. Knops app comes up, and just sits there saying "put your device in DFU"

Not sure how to do this, there's not any documentation on it.
PigmonkeYbetter documentation is coming towards the new app, so this will all soon be better.
You can put your device in dfu mode by: - remove the usb cable from the device - hold down the top right keycap plug in your knops mini while holding down that top right keyswitch - the led of the top right keyswitch should start blinking - release the top right keyswitch - you put your device successfully in dfu mode :)
The idea is that the tool will soon not require you anymore to put it in dfu mode, so that macro switching will go automatically in the future :). This would open up a lot of possibilities like automatic layer switching depending on which windows application you focus. For instance, go to layer 1 when you are working in photoshop and go to layer 2 when you are in notepad/netbrains stuff. Unfortunately that is currently just a dream/vision for where this tool should be going.

PawnerdI'm excited. So far all of my configs work fine, but i'm still trying to figure out how to make it do a "CTRL+5" for instance. I suspect this is due to the macro feature being beta.
PigmonkeYyeah for this you need to use the old configurator that you can download from the www.knops.io website. That tool has literally an infinite number of options, but is really hard to understand. Let me know if you have trouble using it.
Being able to process multi-key macros is the second most important thing I need to fix on the new tool. coming soon (tm)

PawnerdHi Pawnerd,
So I got this kbflasher_installer_win.exe (from http://knops.io/configurator.html) and windows-setup.exe which showed up via notification from https://app.knop.io
Which one is recommended to use configure? Also, when I try to install windows-setup.exe, Win10 won't let me install.
TAsUthe first installer you refered is for the old configurator tool. The latter is for the new one. The old tool has all options you will ever desire, however, the new one is easier to use but currently cannot do multi-key macros. It's basically up to you and you can decide to try both for yourself.
What does win10 do to stop you from installing it? for me it works flawless on win10.

PawnerdOh win10 Defender was blocking it. I got it to 'Run Anyway' I'm gonna try the new tool. Thanks!
TAsUweird, I haven't had this before. Maybe it has something to do with certificates, but I am not experienced enough to say anything about that.
If anyone else reading this has a similar problem, please let me know here or elsewhere

PawnerdI think it was about publisher being unknown if that helps.

PawnerdI sucessfully used KBFlasher a few times, but now it will no longer save profiles, for some reason.
Just sits there saying "check errors and warnings", tells me the macropad is missing binds for every key, and won't save. Previously, it would still save, but now it seems that KBFlasher is a brick to me as well. I'll need to wait until the new flasher is done.

The application sure isn't providing any information.

Edit: Fixed this by creating another new profile and starting over. Strange that it wouldn't save the old profiled anymore.

PigmonkeYThe new application is available on app.knops.io. The only main feature it's missing is complex macro configurations.
May I know your username on the kbflasher tool? Then I can look into what's causing this issue.
