This looks promising, but I haven't been able to find any reviews anywhere. Anyone who has bought one, could you share your thoughts?

flumpisMuch better alternative. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/21-Key-NPKC-Programmable-Cherry-MX-Kailh-Gateron-Switches-Mechanical-Keyboard-Numpad-Free-shipping/32812732361.html It uses Bootloader which gives you multiple layers [2 dedicated and one through a modifier]
No personal interest in this, only suggesting it because I own two of them and a third is on the way so I have more than enough experience with them.

flumpisIn total there are several hundreds sold since august last year. The board runs on QMK, which has an ~infinite number~ (actually there is a limit of 16 layers) of layers and many options.
The device comes with two simple to use configurators, KBFlasher and the Knops App. Once the Knops App has all basic features, the KBFlasher tool will be phased out. You can test the configurators yourself if you are interested:
KBFlasher (older, but completely working configurator): http://www.knops.io/configurator.html Knops App (newer, but still in open beta): https://app.knops.io
I am currently not aware of any in-depth reviews.

flumpisI've got mine in and its quite sturdy and nice, it has a metal plate and feels like it. The software is still finishing up, so macros, although tested on the old flasher, arent in the new one yet but single keys are mapping fine. The layers aka the QMK firmware is whats special about this one so I'm definitely willing to wait to get a full featured flasher. I just wanted to setup a demo with different light settings on each layer that lit up one key per layer, and it is easily able to cycle right through them smoothly with one key for going forward and one key going back, on that ali express pad there are barely 3 different lighting/key layers, this has 16 that can be used for anything, so thats essentialy 16*6 aka 96 keys that can be assigned although obviously youll have to use up keys to switch layers. As far as I know about the firmware is it runs on QMK which is the best around, its just the flasher that needs a bit of work by the developer of this unit and so far it seems quite nice and almost finished.

PirateIceAwesome, thanks for sharing your opinion and I am glad you like it so far. macro+macOS update is coming soon. I think I you meant QMK instead of GMK though (https://docs.qmk.fm/).

flumpisI bought one when they were only on CM site. I personally think it's great. I have a couple SixShooters and this has replaced it even though it's basically the same thing. Just looks a lot better than my terrible skills at cutting out the USB hole.
I'll end it with this. I have several macro keyboards, 2 keys all the way to 44 key ones. My favorites are the 6 key based ones (SixShot, Rama M6, Knops) because I feel it's just the right amount of keys for a portable macro pad. You can have arrow keys, nav cluster, multimedia control, etc 6 key based macro boards are the best. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.

PirateIceThanks for the reply (and everyone else too :) ). So does that mean i'd need to dedicate 1-2 keys to layer switching if I wish to utilize that function? Or do you think it's possible to assign it to a button/macro on my mouse/kb?

flumpisI think its an internal function, its gotta be on the keypad afaik, but its easy to just use 1 key to cycle and other tricks, the firmware has several selection options like tap versus hold for 2 functions on 1 key and you can superimpose layers with sections being "transparent" or lifted from the lower level. So for instance I could technically make a couple layers and use all 6 keys for letters on both layers, and I just switch by holding the first key instead of tapping... its pretty versatile if you get creative, hope this helps. Also the layers are pretty easy to indicate when you have a light under every key you can turn on and off per layer also the 3 indicator lights at the base as well.

flumpisI haven't been able to flash mine. The software does not work on a Mac. Configuring on linux is hard. The author came up with a lot of excuses: the website does not work, I moved, I haven't had the time.
The keyboard comes pre-configured with numbers 1-6. It stopped working after a few days.
Don't waste your money. This keyboard does not work.
