Absolutely awesome keyboard but I cant recommend it to anyone. The numpad keys double as extra functions and you constantly have to change between function on and off to use the numpad. Absolute pain to use. Aside from that the quality of the keyboard is excellent.

NJbonelessYou shift often for numpad arrows and figures? What context would that be?

KrisBaliLook closely on the numpad. They all have secondary functions like delete, scroll lock, insert, page up / down and arrow keys. You need to switch between numpad and secondary functions to use them and it's very inconvenient imo. Other than that it's an awesome keyboard.

NJbonelessI mean you leave the num keys for secondary functions most of the time and when rarely need to you switch to numpad na? What is it that you do often that requires you to switch incessantly between both? As compared to a tkl, it appears more advantageous kuz with secondary options on, it is like a tkl in a sense, and when need numpad you get the bonus... Imo.

KrisBaliI dont use my numpad as much as some others might, but it still throws me and anyone else who uses the keyboard off. The amount of times I have activated "insert", then realized I wanted number 7, hit function, hit 7, realize insert is still activated and I just deleted another character, hit function again to turn insert off, and correct my mistake is too many.
Another example was when I was doing some programming classes. I need to delete a character, or use my arrow keys and move sideways to a certain character, but then also wanted to use the numpad for typing my numbers. Once again constantly switching back and forth, and although you get used to it its not pleasant.
This is all a personal preference I am simply sharing my experience with this kind of keyboard. I have used many other mechanical keyboards (compact and full size) and this is my least favorite layout.

NJbonelessI've had this keyboard for years and it's fine if you're not a big num pad user. Personally I use the num pad for binds in games and the rest of the time I leave num lock off to use the arrows etc.

NJbonelessThanks for details. I can clearly imagine the scenario now. I will use numpads once every 5 months when doing excel calculations, so will leave numlock off always and have a keyboard like a tkl kinda.

KrisBaliI work in large cost spreadsheets and am constantly using the arrows to move between cells when entering numbers. So for me, having to switch would be very inconvenient. I actually purchased one of these during the last drop, but cancelled my order when I realized there weren't dedicated arrow keys and you had to use a switch to use them and switch back to use the numpad again. For many people this is probably a non-issue, but for me, I need to have both numpad and arrows at the same time to be efficient. (I ended up with a 96key layout, which is perfect for the work I do).

NJbonelessSame happens on literally every keyboard (having numpad of course) when you use numpad key with wrong numlock mode....

mike-yThanks for details. Which 96key you ended up with in the end? I bought the masterkeys m finally. Although the vibe was highly tempting..

NJbonelessThank you for pointing this out! Looking for something to use during video editing and rendering. This would drive me crazy.
