anyone with experience of durability for this keyboard? thinking of getting one with mx brown.

KrisBaliI got mine 3 months ago. The keyboard itself is working as expected, feels as good as plastic case can. The keycaps are garbage, thick PBT but the top printed legends are already wearing off.
I have the MX Brown version as well, feels good even with o-rings on. You can get this keyboard on Amazon for $64 with free shipping.

KrisBaliWell, usually people swap keycaps from the defualt ones anyways. It's a solid keyboard but if you are buying it because it PBT (like I did), then you can apss. I had the option to buy PRO S version (white backlit) for the same price, but I chose PBT instead. Had I known, I'd buy PRO S and just trow away the ABS keycaps and get new ones (which I have to do anyways). I'd have some LEDs now.

How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?

I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".
