Will this be powered by wall charger or does this need to be connected to the laptop power? Also, if I were to power it separately is there still a way to connect it to use the usb hub?

dejecktIt's powered through a 5V micro-USB port, so you can either use a generic smartphone cable powered from your laptop, a wall charger, or a portable USB battery pack :)
