chon.wangIt seems like it. I got an email offering to switch to a V80 TKL, and I wondered why it wasn't announced in the thread. They seem to be dealing with different people differently. For example, it seems like some people have gotten emails saying their keytesters were shipped, but I've heard nothing about that.
The thing that puzzles me is that the CM boards are built, paid for, in a container in LA, and apparently due to arrive at Massdrop's location in the next few days. I'm not sure why Massdrop is trying at this supposedly final stage to get people to give up their CM orders and switch to other boards... Is the CM shipment for fewer boards than were ordered? Or are they banking on their being enough pent up demand that they can sell any extra CM boards quickly to other buyers?

roblotConsidering that 848 people have already requested this drop start back up (though it's unknown how many users waiting on one currently hit the "Request" button), Massdrop may have some plans for the extras? I'm not sure what they could be though, they do say they order some extra units in case there are issues, which are then sold during their Bazaars. This might explain why they offered different keyboards to different users, either they had extra or the drop (and thus the final order) was still open.

I just wanted to personally reach out and let you know that the team at Massdrop is working tirelessly to get this shipment out to you as soon as possible. I understand the frustration from the constant delays in this drop and we have been exploring every potential alternative option for both our established users and those that are trying Massdrop for the first time.
Unfortunately since this was a specially ordered production run, there are very few avenues for us to get this exact keyboard to you. And with all the volatility and instability at the port where our order of the keyboard currently sits, it’s very likely for the schedule to slip even further.
That being said Andrew L has been on the phone these past couple of weeks calling keyboard makers and successfully secured a very small production run on behalf of the group for a couple of comparable keyboards that we thought you may be interested in switching to. More specifically we were able to get our hands on the V80 TKL Mechanical Keyboards (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/v80-tkl-mechanical-keyboard) in blue, red, and brown switches.The KB Paradise V80 is highly reviewed and also significantly more expensive than the keyboard you initially ordered, and we would like to offer you the option to switch out from the original drop as a very small token of apology and thanks for sticking with us while we sorted the multitude of issues that arose during this drop. I fully understand that this will not make up for the time and frustration that the multiple delays have caused, but I hope it does show that we were and are continually trying our best to make this right for you.
If this is something you are interested in doing please let me know as soon as possible and I will get the process moving for you. We already have the air freight scheduled for this shipment, and we will be picking up the keyboards from KB Paradise’s facility in Taiwan as soon as the production completes in the next two days. We are very confident to be able to have these ready to be shipped from our warehouse within ten days.

I got an email on 3/12 asking if I wanted to switch to "Keycool 87 Mechanical Keyboard in Kailh Brown". I sifted through the comments to see what people thought of this and I saw that others had the option to switch to "V80 TKL Mechanical Keyboard"....
....Now I'm really confused but did Massdrop offer one group the V80 and another group the Keycool87??
