USPS at the end, but UPS at the start it seems.<br />But I've been shipped tons of things by USPS and never had charges, only UPS or sometimes Fedex has ever dinged me. It's even worse when you look at the charges as a percentage of the price paid for the package itself.

JMaxLens is pretty much on track. Higher declarations get my scrutiny. There are two types of fees associated with international parcel shipments: (1) Brokerage and (2) duties/taxes. The reason a lot of Massdroppers have concern over UPS is that the shipper generally passes brokerage charges to the recipient which greatly increases the cost associated with international shipments. Duties/taxes are generally billed to the recipient. Massdrop, when it ships items, avoids brokerage by either choosing a shipping service that includes brokerage or by using a service that partners with national postage services (e.g. USPS to CanadaPost in the case of Canada).
