Is anyone else having problems connecting 2 Mini speakers for stereo?
I have paired and connected the first speaker. I then turn on the second speaker. I then press and and hold the "M" button on the first speaker, but it just causes the first speaker to turn off.
paddlebikehikeSorry, there is the typo on user manual for stereo mode. Please use the play/pause/stereo button, instead of M/power button for stereo mode.
TimoLabsOK. The good news is that I can now get stereo mode to "connect". The bad news is that when stereo mode is connected, the speakers play intermittently in one-second-on / one-second-off bursts. Worse yet, when the speaker which is paired with my music player is used by itself, it plays fine when within about 4 inches of the device. When more than about 4 inches away, it plays intermittently like it did when paired with the other speaker in stereo.
My EtekCity RoverBeats T3 bluetooth speaker plays fine, as usual, from across the room when connected to the same device.
paddlebikehikeI would suggest try pushing reset button on both unit, see if that makes things better.
If not, I would recommend update the firmware to latest.

TimoLabsI have tried the reset button as you suggested. When pressed, the reset button doesn't actually reset the speaker, it powers it off (and possibly resets it as well, I'm not sure because it doesn't change how the speaker works). It still plays intermittently.
I'll try updating the firmware, but my initial impression of the instructions is that they may be tricky to follow. The instructions were very obviously not written by someone whose first language is English. Hopefully a misinterpretation won't cause additional issues.
Thank you for your quick responses to my problems, but I would recommend that you ship products that actually work without the customer having to jump through hoops. Oh, and while you're at it, update the user manual - at least on your web page.
I'm not feeling real warm and fuzzy about my purchase.
TimoLabsMy antivirus software has warned me about running the firmware flash tool BurnTool.exe. Not only is this becoming a pain in the ass, it's starting to feel weird. Must I really have to be concerned about malware just to get a set of speakers to work?
Did anyone at Massdrop check these units out before offering them?
TimoLabsReplacements received. Thank you Chris @ Timolabs.
As johnny304 indicates in his ratings, the range is the most disappointing attribute of my Corbett Minis. In fact, I think his ratings are spot on, with the exception of the construction. I haven't bounced them around yet, but they seem very well built to me. No missing or loose screws. The rubber flap to cover the connection hardware isn't what I expected from "waterproof" speakers, but I don't plan on submerging them. I'd rate the construction a 9 on johnny's scale. The stereo is SWEET!
OK, now you can color me warm and fuzzy ... FINALLY!
