Don't buy Corsair keyboards. They are very overpriced for the quality of the build and keycaps. Check out MechanicalKeyboards.com for some cheaper much higher quality boards, namely Leopold, Ducky, and even CoolerMaster. Also the Community of "Mech Keyboards'' here has some great deals on some much nicer keyboards. I used to own a Corsair and even buying a MagicForce 68 which was $50 really showed me how big a difference keycaps and build quality can make. If you MUST have RGB then Ducky and CoolerMaster, as well as many other brands, make great keyboards. If you can live without RGB then I personally recommend Leopold. They are amazing boards with the best feeling keycaps and typing experience I have ever used.

OleDaneBoyYou can swap keycaps, that what most mech keyboard enthusiasts do anyways. As for general quality build, Corsair is pretty solid. Their software is much better than anything else out there, too.

AnzialI don't see the point in overpaying for a Corsair keyboard and then buying a set of replacement keycaps... Corsair build quality for the key switches and base and overall feel of typing is very cheap compared to other mechanical keyboard manufacturers. Like I said before I used to have Corsiar until I tried other mechanical keyboards and there is a big difference in typing quality and feel. Also the software is pretty standard for any customization of lighting. The software for my Topre Realforce RGB is actually much better and has many more options for customizing key function.

OleDaneBoylol topre is like twice the price of the corsair, and it's lacking extra buttons for macros and whatnot. Anyways, to each their own, I wouldn't buy this either but for other reasons.

OleDaneBoyTo be fair they use cherry switches. So you can't really say the switches are worse build quality. As for everything else. Corsair blows. Can't believe you wasted money on that topre rgb though.

AnzialCorsair usually has a funny bottom row which makes it hard for some replacement caps.

ShivavishnuIt makes it hard for almost every set of keycaps that you'll find on MD or PMK, at least. You really need to scour TaoBao or AliExpress for compatible keys.

AnzialNot sure which Topre board you are talking about but the Realforce RGB is $230 and has some amazing features on top of being Topre switches which are my personal favorite and usually on the more expensive side. The Realforce RGB is the best board I own, it looks amazing, and it has a revolutionary feature of being able to change the actuation point so you can customize it depending on the game or personal preference.

Anzialyou cant swap keycaps with a corsair board. the nonstandard bottom row doesn't allow for that. sure every other row could be swapped but it would look dumb with the bottom row sticking out.

Alex00322The switches are always going to be the same but it matters very much the plate they are set in and how they are seated along with the rest of the case quality and build that very much effects how typing feels on a keyboard. Even typing with replaced keycaps on a Corsair will feel very cheap compared to a well built keyboard like from Leopold. Topre RGB also is the first full size topre board with lighting and customizable actuation, a feature you can only get on this board. Buying any other Realfrorce or HHKB board is around the same price so it's actually a good deal for the features. Topre is always more expensive but worth it to people like me who prefer it over any other switch because it feels so unique.
