Just to relate my experience with this mouse as I own and use one. In general this is a good mouse. It travels over the surface well. Has good options for dpi/speed of the cursor. Fun lighting options that will sync with Corsair's other devices such as the Void headsets and their various keyboards.
My ONLY issue with the mouse is that its way to light. Has almost no weight to it at all. Its taken me quite some time to get used to that. And there are no options of adding weights to it like some other gaming mice have. So depending on your preference this may or may not be an issue for you.

minijedimasterThe Corsair Scimitar is one of the heaviest gaming mice out there, at 147 grams.
Not sure what mice you've used in the past that can make it feel "light", the average gaming mouse will clock in around 100 grams.

CapnVGPretty much every logitech ever made is heavier, like the G500, G600, G700, G9x etc. The Madcatz RAT7 is much heavier. Most of the others are in a similar range give or take some to the 147g the scimitar is. There are a few that are lower as you say.. but not anywhere close to the majority of gaming mice as you try to imply. I was giving my opinion as to how the mouse feels to me, of course everyone's mileage may vary. This is why I stipulate that it may or MAY NOT be an issue for you.

Most competitive gaming mice brand have at least 1 mouse in their lineup which is within a few grams of 100 grams or lighter.. i.e. Rapoo V300, Cougar 450M, Cougar 300M, Roccat Kiro, Roccat Kone, Zowie ZA series, Zowie FK1 + FK2, Zowie EC1-A/EC2-A Mionix Castor, Logitech G402, Logitech G302/303, Logitech G900, Genius M6-600, Steel Series Rival 100, Steel Series Rival 300, Fnatic Flic G1, Razer DeathAdder Chroma/non Chroma, Razer Diamondback, Razer Abyssus V1/V2, Dream Machines DM1 Pro, Gigabyte XM300, and lots more too many to list!

Kiiddogood for you, you can read stat numbers on a page. has nothing to do with how the mouse feels during actual use, which if you actually read what I wrote in my original reply is what I was referring too. Do you have the scimitar? [moderated]

minijedimasterWow, every pretty much every Logitech gaming mouse ever made?? What a claim! Let's put this to the test by taking a glance at every Logitech gaming mouse since 2010, shall we? G700 - 147g G300 - 82g G400 - 137g G600 - 133g G400s - 137g G500s - 170g G700s - 147g *All mice prior to this point have sensors I wouldn't even touch these days. G100s - 110.5g G602 - 152g G90 - 109g G402 - 144g G502 - 161g G302/303 - 127 G900- 107g (mouse only) *These mice range from decent sensors to amazing sensors.
*All of these weights (as far as I can tell) include the cable as well, so these are the weights of the mice AT THEIR HEAVIEST (excluding weights). I am unable to find if the Scimitar's weight of 147g is with or without the cable. Mostly likely however, it's without, and it's even heavier compared to these than appears.
Let's see how Mr. minijedimaster did! Five mice out of the fifteen listed were the same as or greater than the Corsair Scimitar. I refuse to take mice any older than this into consideration, as the industry standards have moved so far past that point, it's like comparing apples to oranges.
TL;DR - Minijedimaster math: 33% = Pretty much 100%
Even taking into account some of the heftier mice from other brands, the Scimitar is on the heavy side. Roccat Tyon - 128g Roccat Kone XTD Optical - 119g Mionix Naos Series - around 150g Razer Mamba - 125g Razer Naga - 135g
The Madcatz mice do tend to be heavier, but frankly, they are such a minority in the market with a minority group of consumers you can hardly consider them to be indicative of gaming mice in any way. Regardless of their deviation from most gaming mice, one brand who designs heavy mice hardly neglects companies like Zowie who make exclusively 100g mice. Or all of the mouse companies like FinalMouse, Steelseries, Cougar, Rapoo and Roccat who tend to design mice much lighter than 147 grams.
Right, now that I've proven that a 147g mice is heavy (mouse enthusiasts should be shaking their heads with me), on to what matters.
You stated that the mouse FEELS lighter, due to the design. Maybe, maybe not. Mouse design influences one's comfort, and one's ability to control movements accurately. Although better mouse feet can help with movement, and a better grip can ease the strain of hand muscles while moving of the mouse, a heavy mouse is still a heavy mouse. Most of that weight is picked up by the wrist and arm. This is a bigger deal for fps players who pick up their mice often, but it still takes more concerted effort to move a heavier mice. During my brief time trying out the Scimitar I do not remember any amazing feats of engineering which negated the weight of the mouse entirely. It was heavy.
So, what's the takeaway? The mouse is heavy. I want the average uninformed consumer to realize this going in, because 60$ is still a hefty price to pay for a mouse. Some people will post about their obscure subjective realities and misrepresent the product, I simply wish to clear this up. Are you entitled to your own opinion? Of course. Just don't share it in a way that suggests that it's fact.
