Product Description
Established in 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a Swiss town located in the Jura mountains near the French border, Corum has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation with its exotic case designs, unique movements, and unconventional style. The Artisan Heritage 1957 pays tribute to one of its first designs: a dressy, minimally styled 38-millimeter mechanical watch set on an alligator strap Read More

Hate to say but the quadrant line running through the "R" looks really tacky, as is the seconds hand without a subdial. Hamilton did it right with the Rodney, in which the quadrant aligns with the "i" in the logo.

Nice watch. Just bought a Glycine... I will join if I have the money.

This is a very nice design from Corum. Comments on the value of the movement aside, it's still a beautiful watch that you're not going to see on someone else's wrist.

loath this fad of overly simplistic watches, DW is the pinnacle of it. Very low cost of production - OK if it was value for money but they're not, far from it.

Does the watch come with a full manufacturer's warranty? I've always wanted a Corum watch, so I'm looking to jump on this deal.

pock85Yeah, I am on the fence with this one. I tried on the 18k yellow gold model and it looks lovely on the wrist. Corum is such a rare brand one almost never sees. This price is rather amazing as well.

This is, in my opinion, very poor vfm as the watch seems to ship with a standard grade ETA2804 variant. For 1000 usd (no drop, MSRP) one can buy a beautiful Stowa Flieger, Marine or Antea with a top grade ETA that's costs double to purchase individually Vs a regular grade. Do yourself a favour, stay out of this drop and visit the stowa website instead of want to spend that kind of money on a watch!

I recently purchased a Stowa flieger and nothing seems cheap to me. The top rated ETA costs 250 usd alone when purchased separately. Heat blued hands, pristine case brushing and finishing, visibly ways better than on my beloved Seikos (Alpinist and Sumo) and not so beloved Glycine Airman. Very nice even though inexpensive strap, superluminova C3 lume which is the most expensive, very nice mate dial. Again, please define "cheap components". I know the watch is assembled like 80% of lower tier brands and models these days, but strongly disagree with the "cheap components" claim, leading me to also question the "huge profit" related one.

(about the "uninspiring" bit, that's of course the case if you have 0 interest for history and horology, and the fact that the flieger design is dated 1939, used during wwII, and since became one of the most iconic, produced and sold aviation watch design ever, not an aviation brand that doesn't have a flieger inspired design...)

No doubt an excellent deal for a high-quality watch, but it's not the type of design I want from Corum. It's really too bad there's so many Swiss watches with a better "minimal" look - for a fraction of the cost.
That said, I would look forward to seeing more iconic Corum watches here, like the Bridge.

Which model do you want? On the Stowa website, all their ETA based and non-chrono options are under 1,000 Euros. Only watches above that range are Unitas based, chronos or LE, as far as I see?
To my knowledge there isn't any "third party" website that sells Stowa watches, as they produce specifically on order, and work with 0 stock, reason why you need to wait for a while before delivery after you order it on their website. Also explains why you can't find any Stowa retailer.

That is a stellar watch from a better era of Corum, they seem to have lost their way a bit off late. Wish they go back to innovating rather than shoving bog standard movements into standard cases with "historic" names. Love that watch!

holy katz, Corum, was not expecting a drop on that, great watches, some are a little too avant gaurde for some but i like that about them. though i'm definitely drawn to the more funky designs, this classic 'looking back' w sub seconds is still jiggy since i love dress watches , i'd move on this if i had a purchase coming up for sure too.

Really? I googled it and came up with nothing less expensive.I must be looking in all the wrong places. I would love to hear about other Swiss models though. I cannot think of a quality Swiss dress watch for under $1200. I just got into watches around a year ago, and mostly Seiko. I am just now looking at Swiss watches. What brands come in lower? I hate to bother you, but I really do not know.

SkipPpOh, sorry. Lower price than $5500 on the gold. No, for this model, this is the lowest I saw.
Around $1k, I tend to look German, not Swiss. Junghans, Stowa, Sinn. Archimede for a more workhorse piece...well built, decidedly not fancy. And they offer a bronze pilot...it's uncommon to find a bronze that's not a diver.
