My EDC kits have arrived and I would like to provide some feedback for future drops. The mini pry bar and tweezers are quite nice. The whistle takes a little bit of practice to get a reasonable tone at first. The problem is the split ring. The whistle can not attach to the ring provided so the photograph is misleading. The diameter is spec'ed as 0.98 inches (25 mm) but the ring received is 27 mm inner diameter and 32 mm outer. It is also too thick for the whistle lanyard hole. I may be wrong be it looks like a steel ring. I got three rings and they are all off spec.

It’s happening! Thanks to each of you, the drop was a success and we have contacted the vendor for the CountyComm Titanium EDC Kit and submitted the group’s order. They are now working hard and preparing your orders for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey, where our team will be standing by ready to break everything down into individual orders and reship them directly to you. We currently expect to have everything out of our warehouse and on its way to you by 9/9.

If it falls out, when you don't need it and when you see it... Then you might be able to glue it back in. Since Countycomm are great folks, why didn't they glue it in?

pyratYes, there is a plastic insert in the end of it. Some have claimed it falls out, but if it does, it should be no problem to put a couple of drops of super glue on it and put it back in. I have not received mine yet, (ordered from a drop just finished), so I have no "hands-on" experience with it yet.

franknessIt's over 100 decibels. To Compare; the Ultimate Survival Jet Whistle is 122db, and the Storm all weather Whistle (which claims it is the loudest in the world) is 133db. This is apparently on the verge of human tolerance.
