I just did a google search and I'm finding this set listed online from $50 to $150. Sears.com had it for $114 with free shipping a coupel of months ago. $199 is actually the most expensive I can find it for.
Here is 311pc with no toolbox for $189.99: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-311-piece-mechanics-tool-set/p-00953311000P?sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2

KschwerinI'm looking at a place who has it for 286.96 right now on Google shopping.
Edit: Another over 250.00. Also the Sears deal I found is from 2013, more than a few months ago. Are you sure it was recent?

KschwerinThat's 185 pieces. Different set, the ratchets are a different profile and the Craftsman website says one is Chrome plated versus just steel alloy. I'm not sure if it's a typo.
Maybe MD can weigh in here.

AilsIf you read the description on the Craftsman website they are both Chrome plated. It seems the 182 set is discontinued and the 185/311 sets are the new version.

KschwerinYeah, and they are lifetime warranty anyway, so the only real difference is the few extra tools and ratchet profile of the discontinued set. Not sure why they would run this drop then and only 9 units. Odd.
