"This hardware is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE."<br /><br />Is this disclaimer even legal when you're selling a tangible product in the US? I know in Australia that as a consumer when you pay for a product or service you obtain consumer protections that can't be made to disappear in this way.

RambonoboIt's standard legalese for open source software/hardware. If you do a quick google search you'll see this line included everywhere. Since this is pretty experimental stuff and how flexible the platform is, we can't be held liable for modifications done to your hardware/software and something goes wrong. Caveat emptor.
