As for the CAL!, I'm quite impressed. I do find myself liking the sound. I think I may try the HM5 pads for a bit more isolation.
I know the CAL! has quite the mod community, but suggestions for the headphone (some of which were addressed in CAL!2: 1) A fabric covered cable with a remote/mic on the left ear cable. I know the new one has a detachable with a button. I've just gotten so used to the play/pause button that I miss it. 2) Perhaps a bit more padding up top. 3) Earcups that rotate flat. I know there are mods you can do to get this.
But overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I joined this drop mainly for the DAC, but was curious about the headphones. They may be my new set that I use at work.
