You'll feel a huge leap in comfort with these phones. I wear 7+5/8 cap and these fit me well. Hard to tell if they'll fit your head at 7+7/8 which is a bit bigger.
For CSGO, the scout mode gets good reviews and is supposed to be better with the G1 included here.
As for the USB attachment, it works well. The hyperx cloud 2's use a similar USB input as the H5's with one 4 pole connector and both work great. As with any 7.1 headset, it's not a true surround and it can be hit or miss depending on what the application is. This 7.1 is about on par with others available, even in the higher price ranges.
This drop with the G1 DAC amplifier is a great combo and will produce the best sound anywhere under $100. The headset is very comfortable to wear for hours at a time. I currently use the cloud 2's and after borrowing these from a friend I'm joining this drop!
