spenaFine if you don't mind stereo sound and don't need the mic to work. You can use simulated surround, but it's quality is greatly debated. Whether you can use the microphone or not depends on your system, cables and setup. Sony's systems seem easier to setup than Microsoft's, I haven't seen reports of other console use, not do have any to try. If the system has optical out, at a minimum, you should be able to have sound.

J3D1mineTR1XWell, yes. Maybe you have some power hungry headphones you want to use for gaming... If so, using a E5 alone may be better than bi-amping. The more details you provide the better answer we can provide. For example, let us know which system (and other equipment) you want to use it on and why. It'll work on PS4 natively. You can then use the phone app to adjust levels for voice, chat, etc. It that case a mixamp may not be needed. You can use it as a regular amp too... just to boost the volume of the signal from the mixamp. Though, in that case, it works best using the mixamps separate mic in and not the one on the E5. Unless you have the original (pre 2013) Mixamp pro I wouldn't recommend bi-amping, at all. The newer Mixamps don't produce a very clean sound comparatively. Thus imperfections are amplified too, while bi-amping. You can use the E5 without a mixamp on other systems, but it's more complex. For example, the microphone isn't natively supported on Xbox AFAIK. That means you have to input you mic traditionally such as through controller.

thomwithahThanks for the response! I'm using the Sennheiser G4me Zeroes. They are the 150 ohm ones. I already have the mixamp pro and it does a somewhat decent job driving them. I just want more!!! Lol... My system is the ps4. I don't have a lot equipment going on and all of that. Just the the ps4, the mixamp pro (2014) I believe, and the Senns. Just trying to drive the Senns a lil more. I mainly play FPS's and other shooters (not sure if that's needed or not). The reason I asked about double amping is because I had read in a forum on the Head Fi site that it could be done. They were asking about different Fiio's in that particular thread. I was considering getting the Fiio e17k Alpen 2. I mainly wanted to maintain the Dolby sound that the mixamp provides. Which is mainly why I asked about double amping. I had saw the e3 from these guys before I learned about the mixamp. But something had turned me off about it, but I can't recall what that was at the moment. I don't know a whole lot about this type of stuff, which is why I reached out to the community for some assistance. Once again thanks for the response; and of course, whatever help you can provide is appreciated!
