CutThroat254See thomwithah reply from a few post up, "Fine if you don't mind stereo sound and don't need the mic to work. You can use simulated surround, but it's quality is greatly debated. Whether you can use the microphone or not depends on your system, cables and setup. Sony's systems seem easier to setup than Microsoft's, I haven't seen reports of other console use, not do have any to try. If the system has optical out, at a minimum, you should be able to have sound."

spenaFor PS4 out of the box it'll work for sound and mic. You'll need to use both the optical cable and either the built in mics or you can use the mic in. You can adjust the levels via Bluetooth on a smartphone in real time. You can adjust levels for mic feedback (with slight lag) if you like. At the same time as you have in game sound you can listen to Bluetooth content such as music, or take phone calls. If your headset doesn't have separate connections for mic and audio you will need to use a cable to slit them. Most of these cables are not of sufficient length to connect both ends to the E5. In my case I use a splitter cable and a combination cable that I already owned. This leaves one mic input (of the combination cable) unused, but gives me enough length and I didn't have to buy anything else. It's not clean looking but it worked and allowed for me to test my AKG K7XX (with inline mic cable) for gaming on the PS4 with chat. That said, I don't use it. I prefer the simpler setup of my MMX 300 to an old Astro 5.8 Mixamp. It gives me a better combination of clean setup, sound, and freedom to roam around my room. Originally I thought I could simply connect the E5 in line with the current setup, but it is to clumsy for me. I wasn't able to use the Line/Mic/Optical in for both mic and line in at the same time. Nor did the headphone jack support mic in. I'm not certain, but I think the E3 might accomplish that particular function better...
