I'm not an audio aficionado, I'm definitely a newbie, so I was disappointed to find out that the Soundblaster E5 doesn't work with the integrated speakers on my laptop. Is this true of all DAC/Amps or just the Soundblaster in particular? I also don't like how when I turn off my laptop and start it up again, the Soundblaster also needs to be turned off and turned on for it to be recognized by my computer. I have to manually set my speakers to Realtek Audio in the control panel whenever I don't want to listen through my headphones, as opposed to simply unplugging them. Seems like the much touted software on the Soundblaster is more of a gimmick than anything.
Does anyone have any real solutions to these problems? Please help!

Wurdle1) Yes you will have this issue with every dac, the integrated speaker are tied to your onboard audio 2) i don't have that issue with my E5, maybe windows settings? try High perfomance in energy options if you are using windows 3) the software is far from being gimmicky, it's quite amazing actually

indigouzI wish it was more plug and play than I imagined it would be. I have to manually switch in the Control Panel between my laptops integrated speakers and my headphones run by the Soundblaster. It's annoying. Restarting the Soundblaster every time I turn off my computer is also annoying and the only software option I use is the volume normalizer (which I like). The virtual surround sound and FPS-booster make it more difficult for me to playing CS:GO; they sound like tinsel forks being rubbed together.
