Speaks in white to match the LE would have been a good option -- esp. for those with small white rooms to fill.
Creative: Bring back the free bluetooth dongle, offer white speaks and/or announce a newer model with built-in bluetooth, a remote and DSD compatibility. I can wait.

It sounds as though you might be assuming I haven't researched the X7 periodically for the past few years.
Bluetooth transmission (e.g., for wireless headphones) is one of the X7's most requested features, which is why the CreativeLabs rep acknowledged as much during a previous drop. The comment probably appears on this very thread, but toward the beginning.
I don't actually own the X7 LE but have come so close to buying one in the past that I have the app installed on my S7 Edge. Even so, I still think Creative Labs should include their own remote, if only to allow us to program a universal remote to supersede it.
My main request is one that I hope won't get lost in this discussion: DSD. CreativeLabs included it in their new $4,000 Atmos soundbar (which they don't call a soundbar), the X-Fi Sonic Carrier, but a fair number of companies have also included it in >$400 DAC/amps.

Actually, I was specific in my original post, as I tend to be after years of editing newsletters and magazines for a living. However, if you inferred from my response that I wasn't familiar with X7's features, then perhaps it was a mistake for me to assume that any Massdrop member who read my post either would be familiar with past X7 drops or would recognize that I spoke from experience.
When I wrote "bring back the bluetooth dongle," I thought members would realize I was talking about X7 drops before the last two, in which the Creative Labs BT-W2 was the extra perk. But people have joined Massdrop at various times over the years, and not everyone has been here since the site's inception. If I'd written "bring back the bluetooth dongle from previous drops," then perhaps you'd have gotten a sense of the history to which I alluded.
DSD is an important feature for people who listen to high-end audio files.
It will be interesting to see whether the Sound Carrier has a trickle-down features effect on updates to Creative Lab's other products, esp. the X7 or its successor. It will also be interesting to see whether budget products compete with the SC over the next four years, triggering more competitive pricing.
