Originally trained as a jeweler, Wisconsin knifemaker Matthew Lerch’s designs are noted for their ornate aesthetic appeal. And the CRKT Cobia is right in Lerch’s wheelhouse. It sports a nearly 3-inch blade made from 1.4116 stainless steel with a satin finish. Made from 420J2 stainless steel, the handle is a natural complement to the blade, donning a scaled pattern that adds flair and provides grip. Utilizing CRKT’s patented Outburst system, the blade opens with a simple push on the thumb stud, while a frame lock secures it in place. The subtle clip won’t draw attention when the knife is in your pocket.
