The Ikoma Fossil by CRKT is ergonomically designed by Brazilian custom knife maker Flavio Ikoma. Featuring a hollow ground, drop-point blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, the Fossil has great slicing ability and resistance to corrosion. The blade's satin finish pairs beautifully with the scaled, two-toned handle giving the folder a prehistoric, yet graceful aesthetic. The scaled handle is made from 2Cr13 stainless steel with a brown G10 overlay that is contoured for a solid grip. This folder features the IKBS ball bearing pivot system and flipper for easy deployment and a frame lock to hold the blade in place. It's also designed with jimping on the back of the blade and a finger guard for an even closer grip.
Note: Due to additional scrutiny and increased seizures at customs this drop will be limited to members within the US. This drop is limited to 50 knives.
Brazilian Custom knife maker Flavio Ikoma grew up with an affinity for blades and cutlery. Taking influence from Japanese style swords and knives, Ikoma began designing custom knives out of bamboo in his adolescence. He then worked in his father's shop where he had access to different tools and materials to hone his knife making skills. Ikoma began his professional knife making career in 1993 and eventually went on to invent the patented IKBS ball bearing system in partnership with Korth Cutlery. Renowned for his unique, ergonomic designs, Ikoma has become a trusted name in the knife community.
