Designed by knifemaker and former Master Sergeant Kit Carson, the CRKT M16-10S is a compact flipper with extensive functionality. It features a 3-inch, partially serrated tanto blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel that tackles piercing, slicing, and sawing tasks with ease. The blade is effortlessly deployed with the built-in Carson flipper, a design that doubles as a blade guard when in the open position. Skeletonized 2Cr13 stainless steel scales make up the handle, reducing weight and providing a secure grip. The M16-10S also comes with a carabiner and bottle opener attached to a paracord lanyard for convenient carry and further functionality.

After growing up an avid hunter and fisherman in the mountains of Georgia, Kit Carson spent more than 30 years in the army, reaching the level of master sergeant. His experience in the outdoors and in the armed forces heavily shaped Carson’s views on knife design. In 1993, Carson became a full-time knifemaker and eventually became a voting member of the Knifemakers’ Guild until his passing in 2014. Never one to follow the crowd, Carson believed in function over aesthetic, a trait derived from his background that can be found in the majority of his work.
