This is one of the nicer looking knives I've seen from CRKT, I just wish the blade steel was a higher quality. At the same price point you can get similar flippers from Kizer or Bestech with D2 tool steel blades.

MichaelHeartlessI'm right there with you. Hopefully, we might see an upgrade in the future, maybe. The writing is definitely on the wall for companies like CRKT and Kershaw. My hope is that brands like Tekut, Tangram, Ruike, and Real Steel force other makers to move away from 8cr into better steels. The crazy part is that Ruike and Real Steel are mostly built around Sandvik 14c28n which was commissioned by Kershaw in the first place!

LMNOBeastAgree with you about the 14c28n, but I doubt CRKT and Kershaw are in any financial trouble. They still sell lots of knives on Amazon or at Walmart to the level of consumer who only asks "does it come sharp"?
