The CRKT Pilar is named after the boat that Ernest Hemingway used to spy on German U-boats in the Caribbean during World War II. A Jesper Voxnaes design through and through, the Pilar is what the Danish knifemaker imagined Hemingway might have carried as his everyday folder. Built with a stout frame (not unlike the iconic author’s), this larger version of the original has a thick 2.7-inch blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. It pairs with a chunky handle with stainless steel or G-10 on one side, and a stainless steel frame lock on the other. Open the knife with the wide thumb hole and carry it by way of the reversible clip.
Note: At checkout, choose a satin blade with a G-10 handle, or a stainless steel handle. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
