Nice upgrade and lovin the D2 option. Kinda wish there was a satin blade D2 version thou. I wonder what the black coating is? Not expecting dlc but i wonder if its like a blackwash type or just paint?

Cdoyleblade is finished with black oxide, if that helps

RigbyIm guessing thats more durable than just bLack paint. Im thinking black oxide is what i have on some kershaws and Bokers i have so Ill have to go back and double check the finish/specs on those. Thanks

CdoyleI agree I went D2 but a satin blade would be nice. I just prefer a non coated blade.

Kodyh762 I was actually looking at those yesterday. Several handle colors also. Now they need to come out with the large pilar in satin d2. I think it would be a big seller.
