And in that spirit, thanks for acquiescing to our purchase of these trackballs! I'm certain that your assessment of their accuracy and utility is much more authoritative than that of the people who use them professionally, and I, for one, really appreciate you allowing me to make my own mistakes.
With that being said, if you have never used one, a trackball can have a slightly frustrating learning curve, but once you get over it, you'll wonder why mice ever got so popular. In addition, even among trackball lovers there's the eternal debate over which type is better, thumb operated, or finger operated. Personally I cannot stand thumb operated trackballs.
