How do I take the trackball out? I am a professional Glassblower of 10 years, I want to make my own ball to replace the one inside. I don't care if I void warranty.

Update...all seems ok now...more of an issue with me being a newbie to trackballs then a problem with equipment....if i keep a slight bit of downward pressure on ball any time i roll it, then it works well.

Just received mine.....i'm a trackball newbie.......i was wondering if anyone else can comment.....the trackball itself seems to clunk around inside the cavity sometimes when rolling it, particularly from right to left. It's almost as if the ball is a couple mil' too small? Not happy at the moment.

Loving it so far. Just like my older (non-glow) LaserTrac, it works wonderfully. The glowing ball is really pretty. Hard to really capture in a photo though. One is a picture of my desk where the trackball light is overblown, the other one gives a better idea of what it looks like in actual use. Pardon my dust.

Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 8/21. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 8/22 or sooner if something comes up.
Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the CST LaserTrac Glow and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where we'll break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 9/3.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 8/14.
Not being a fan of glowing things around the computer, especially in blue, is this a performance upgrade or just an appearance change?

WhichwaydidheGoJust an appearance change. I think it can be disabled. This model also has upgraded switches 5,000,000 from 1,000,000. So this new model is not just an aesthetics change from the previous model. I think this trackball also has 1000 Hz polling but I think 2 previous models have it as well.

For FPS keyboard/mouse is best; that being said - between a trackball and a video game console controller I'd take the trackball for sure.

CritI've used this trackball for FPS's. While its more than playable with it, I would never say it was perfect.
