It would also have been good if Topre had been more flexible and trusting. They went to matt3o to design a new set, but then they rejected his earlier designs. Topre would do well to re-release replacement sets for the RF87U/104U along with sets or compatibility add-ons for the HHKB Pro 2 and other Topre-switch keyboards. After that, they could add one or more sets with very different designs if they wished, but they should work in a more collegial way with one or more members of the mechanical keyboard community.

HypersphereI agree did he release what some of his earlier designs look like? hopefully it isnt that they just wanted some conservative designs. Give me pastels god darn it
also heard hyper spheres were a good way to convert topre keys, they feel great. would you recommend them over purple stems topre ? ( been dying to decide)

mathkor89If you are referring to my Silencing Rings, of course I am [somewhat] biased. Unfortunately, I haven't done a side-by-side comparison of a factory-silenced RF board and a standard RF with my rings installed.
However, I have done a side-by-side comparison of a standard HHKB Pro 2 with my rings plus lube and a Type-S HHKB. They were quite similar in sound and feel, but I did have a slight preference for the one with my rings plus lube.
After silencing some RF87U boards, HHKBs, and Novatouch boards, I find that my preference is for the combination of silencing rings plus lube.
