At this price you're better off getting the Kaiser 10 Universals for 80 bucks more.
Those make these sound muddy.

Sebastian1989Do you mind elaborating more on the sound of these? As I mentioned in an earlier comment, I have the K10u but I'm looking to get into CIEMs. I don't mind a different sound sig, but I wouldn't want a downgrade on the sound quality. Would I be better off not spending the money on this then in your opinion? Do you have both for reference?

ZALHERAThe K10 is a more neutral option compared to the Fibae which is warmer and darker sounding.
The main difference you will hear is how much clearer sounding the K10 is. Instruments are much better separated with an overall more transparent sound. Soundstage of both are comparable but the K10 might sound deeper due to its extra clarity.
I'd say the Fibae has a thicker sounding midrange so some might like the warmer sound of the vocals. It's also darker compared to the K10 which sounds more extended and airy.
You may want to check out the JH13. It has the technical capability of the K10 but has a fun v tuning with more bass

Sebastian1989I would kindly disagree here. I briefly compared them both below (and I own both). Your comparison from memory is a bit exagerated:
K10u don't sound airy, nor neutral. They have significant bass, although less than Fibae ME, and more extended treble, but airy is not what I would say, they're still very slightly on the warm side when opposed to flat IEMs.
Fibae ME do not sound muddy, it's just that they have significantly boosted bass all the way from mid-bass to lower bass, but with very little bleed into the lower mids. What distinguishes them from K10u is how smooth mids and treble sound, but I don't find myself missing details due to this, unless you're listening classical music with extremely high pitched piano notes, where K10u extension helps a bit.
Different beasts if you ask me. If you're not after big bass, yes buy the K10u with no hesitation, they're a good deal at MD price. or Go to CustomArt website and order Fibae 3, you'll save money and get something similar to K10u. These Fibae ME are here to cater the bass lover crowd, and they do it wonderfully without the usual hashness in treble that comes with a lot of cheaper BA-based IEMs.

TienbasseYeah I can see how my perception would differ from yours.
When I demo gear, I use varied music with equal amounts of music with and without people singing. I do notice that instrumental music like movie soundtracks are more demanding of the gear and some aspects of music like micro detailing capability are better assessed with these kinds of tracks. It's not as obvious with conventional tracks so that's why my comparisons may seem a bit exaggerated.

Sebastian1989Thanks for answering in more details. I like movie soundtracks as well, but I must admit I only had Fibae ME for a week, and I have not listened a lot of soundtracks with them so far, mainly prog rock and some metal. I'll give the Fibae ME more time with some classical soundtracks (a bit of Howard Shore and Hans Zimmer should do the job nicely).

TienbasseIm currently looking for an IEM, possibly a CIEM, with a similar sig to this. My focus would be relaxed, warm, lush, and smooth mids. Id also need very smooth treble and warmer bass without comprimising much detail. Im not exactly a basshead so the bass here doesnt appeal to me, but i wouldnt mind it. Would this be a good choice, or are there better in a similar or possibly lesser price range? And if so would you mind giving me some suggestions?
