CustomArtThanks for participating in the discussions! This is cool.
Massdrop recently had UERM sale, which I joined.
Could you comment on the UERM, your thoughts on it? And perhaps compare/contrast the CustomArt Pro 330v2, and your general IEM philosophy in comparison to the UE company? It'd be great to hear you talk gear and geek out.
yeky83I don't think it's appropriate for me to comment on UE and its products.
Those two monitors offer slightly different sound signature. (yes I've heard UERM).
Our philosophy is different than most companies as from the beginning we make our monitors mostly for audiophiles and occasionally for musicians. We focus more on creating gear that sounds great from home rigs, DAPs or even smatphones. Pro330v2 is our take on stage signature but it will also appeal to anyone looking for accurate sound with a bit of warmth and lush smoothed-out midrange

yeky83As a previous owner of the UERM and a lengthy (7 days) audition with the Pro330v2, if you value bass impact and presence, and a more natural and musical tone with a touch of warmth, but still has the technical attributes to be used for sound engineering, the Pro330v2 hits it out of the park. Both the UERM and Pro330v2 are well tuned monitors in their own respective design and intended applications.
