These iems have the exact sound signature that I was looking for. Very clear but not bright with a black black background. They are also light and comfortable. I've read reviews that state that this is a "dark" sounding headphone, but I don't find this to be the case at all. And I say this as a Grado fanboy. This is not the ciem version of the HD650; which I really find boring and sleep inducing. Now all of this could be that my funky shaped ear canals (very large) are just right for this particular iem. I don't know if this matters but I use the JVC spiral dot ear pieces which for some reason just seal better than the ones that came with the C6iem.
