I love my DaBuddha, had it for a year and some months and it has been a beautiful daily driver for me. Easy maintenance was important for my needs and this is. The drop I got it on took a while to reach me (a few weeks), but it was definitely worth the wait. Yes, there is a learning curve, but once you learn your best fill level, temp and draw techniques, you will have so much more control of your experience over fan vapes, presets, and single temp varieties.
It's easy to clean up the glass and whip in the case of accidental combustion as long as it is occasional and you clean it within a day or two of the incident. If you are regularly overheating your herb to get smoky clouds, it may taint your whip's flavor. You don't need to feel the burn to get the effect, so keep that in mind when you start and wonder if you are "getting anything."
Whether for medication or relaxation, I would really rather use my DaBuddha with or without a water filter than any other mode of consumption I've tried. I highly recommend owning one. When you introduce your friends to it, be prepared for them to experiment a while before they, too, get the techniques down. Get it where you can at the price that best suits you, but just in case it changes your mind I'd note that with this buy you are getting manufacturer warranty coverage, which is not guaranteed through ebay.
