DA-LUCASo, my strap just arrived today. I'm a bit dissappointed in the build quality. The leather itself seems to be very nice, with some acceptable tooling marks/scars on the backside. However the stitching, along with the cut itself appear to have been freehanded by someone. There is a clear lopsided cut pattern to the strap, and the edges are much more unfinished than the pictures led me to be. The threading looks to be thicker than the color matched threading in the pictures as well. All the pictures with color matching look to be a thinner thread, what I received looks to be a much thicker version.
I don't mean to be a stickler on details, but for the price of these straps i would expect a build quality to match that of the leather.
NothinisokI just received mine as well and I have the same issue. The cut is lopsided, especially at the tips. The stitching and threading also seems haphazard and not in a totally straight line. For this price, I expected much better. I'll also be contacting Da-Luca. Let's see what happens.
DA-LUCAReceived mine today. Like others have said, I noticed the same issues on my strap as well. Lopsided cut, uneven stitching, and unfinished edges. The pictures shown on Massdrop definitely portray a better quality and workmanship. I have owned shell cordovan straps from Fluco and Rios1931, and they are way better workmanship than this purchase at similar price point.
WindmasterYep, I agree. I have a few from Fluco as well, far better quality. I really want to prop up small American manufacturing but this strap is just a big letdown.
