What is the difference between the two leathers?

Omegaman68The Essex will be more soft and supple as well as slightly thinner. The natural, brown and black chromexcel leathers are chrome tanned and will be slightly less supple. All are very durable but the chromexcel might last a tad longer since it’s not as soft. On the other hand, the Essex leather is lighter in color so it will gain the most patina and show the most change over time which a lot of people find to be a positive.
