KeeferBeware. If you have never purchased on AliExpress, they require a photo of your driver's license or passport, a photo of your credit card and a copy of your "statement". I don't know if that's a bank statement or a credit card statement. I opted to NOT send them all of that.

ZorkerI chatted with a tech on AliExpress and he/she suggested I use a different card or a different browser. Since I didn't want to enter a 2nd card's info into their web site, I used the same card and a different browser (Chrome, this time). This time it accepted it without my having to upload any (more) personal data. So ... I'll update this when the unit arrives. $176 w/ free shipping.

ZorkerI purchased from NewEgg this morning. The actual Chinese manufacturer (Shenzheaudio) is selling there as well as Amazon but NewEgg is running a flash sale until Sunday. I paid 199 plus free shipping and 30 day return policy. No one else has those terms today. Use PayPal for double protection. Wanted a Woo WA2, but it's 1190. Will try 336se and see or hear how it pairs with the new Beyerdynamic DT1990 pro. These cans are great btw feeding a Beyerdynamic A20 amp with Astell Kern ak100ii. Good luck

ZorkerDL, passport, different card and different browser? Huh. Weird. Let me know how it works for you. I'd never heard of them until today. I was told today, (NewEgg) 8-15 day ship from China. 199 + free ship + 30 day return. We'll see. MD wants 13.00 ship no return policy. Hmmmm

The manufacturer Shenzhenaudio is selling their 336se as a 2nd party THROUGH NewEgg. Same as they do on Amazon. It's 309.99 on Amazon. Great buy at 199. Let me know if it works for you

KeeferAt the moment, I'm playing vinyl on a Pioneer PL-71 turntable. It was Pioneer's top-of-the-line during the late 70s, back when Pioneer made some pretty fine consumer-grade equipment. Picked it up about 15 years ago at a 2nd hand shop for $10!! Got a Sumiko headshell and a Grado Red cartridge on it. It's an OK combination. Actually the TT is probably worthy of a better cartridge, but it sounds good as-is. Going from there into a phono preamp, the Bellari VP 130. I've plugged some HIFIMan 300s (bought recently on Massdrop) into the Bellari. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the sound.
But ... I ordered some BeyerDynamic DT 990 600 ohm headphones. I haven't received them, yet. When I get them and the DarkVoice amp, I'll put the Bellari output into the DarkVoice and BeyerDynamics. I'm thinking it's going to be eargasmic. I'll let you know.

ZorkerI got my DarkVoice today! Super fast ship from China. US Customs got into shipment. I've got dings and a deep scratch on unit. It had an initial hum/static noises. Seem to have gone away. Initial impression with stock tubes after 3 hours is good. Looking for improvement over time....

KeeferAnd for free (shipping)! Received mine today. I opened it about 10:00pm and looked it over. There a couple of small scratches/mars on top of the unit above the power LED. They aren't terrible, but they're visible. It's plugged in and glowing nicely. I'm going to leave it on overnight and listen mpost my impressions

ZorkerI recently bought a Loxjie P20 on amazon. I've been listening to it for a few weeks now and rather like it. I'm listening to the stock tubes although I did buy a better power supply even though I didn't detect any noise from the supply that came with it (there were some pretty negative reviews about it). I'm using the single-ended headphone output (it has balanced in/out interface, too) and am listening to HIFIMAN/massdrop HE-4XX phones. Pretty sweet. I listen to ALAC files ripped from my CDs. And I copied most of Neil Young's hi-res library from his web site as 96.0KHz/24bit files during the time when he made it all free to his fans. The Loxjie sounds pretty nice for a $99 amp. But then I pulled the DarkVoice out of my vinyl setup. I've been using it to listen to my album collection. I gotta say this DarkVoice far outshines the Loxjie.
