Hi All,
Not sure if anyone out there can help or advise, I today received my Darkvoice 336SE here in the UK, I like most have experienced all the usual issues - light burn off, hum which cleared very quickly etc. The Amp was started with non-stock valves/tubes Mullard 6080 & KEN RAD VT231 both vintage NOS and has settled down and sounding sweet, only took 30-60 minutes. My big problem is feet, it only has 3. One of the rubber ends is missing & not in the box! How does one sort this kind of issue out? are these available anywhere or can be substituted? I can not read Chinese...please don't reply with your 2 cents joke....under the foot! lol Advanced thanks.

GypsyWomanI would think you would be happier just going online to some UK equivalent to Parts Express (amp parts and electronics) and ordering four new ones that you like. Trying to get a replacement from MD or the manufacturer would be painful. Alternatively, you could buy some of the sorbethane (sp?) bumpers you see in audiophile catalogs. I bought some to keep my turntable from getting vibrated. The had peel off stickers and would be cool since they are clear. As long as you get the amp up a few mm it would be fine.

FaceMcBashyMy light/lamp is fine...if a little bright, like a coastguards search beam! The "burn off" was the lacquers/oils/paints used within the unit which burnt away on start up - smell/smoke. Thanks FaceMcBashy for your interest & help.

wineross13Thanks so much for your reply, much appreciated. I had considered the sorbethane option but was looking for something attached so will probably go down the road of 15mm push on chair leg rubbers, maybe both! I figured from the outset that trying to source the replacement parts from the maker would be extremely painful hence looking at options. On the plus side the Amp is bedding in nicely with my HD650's and now offers an interesting alternative to my Stax. Apart from the missing part why do these manuals not translate into English, French, German, Spanish etc - such a simple task which Massdrop should be insisting on the provider doing? Thanks wineross13 again.
