Of the four drops I've participated in, only one has shipped on time as expected, one was reasonably delayed, and two (this one included) have been delayed beyond explanation and without adequete updates.
If you say you will provide an update 'on 2/13 or sooner', you should do so, even if it is a short message saying 'we don't have any information, sorry, will update when we know more'. If you don't plan to post, I, as a customer would prefer not to get a time frame at all.
This site is becoming kickstarter-esque to me: Pay and forget I spent the money, then be pleasantly surprised when the product shows up on my doorstep.
Although I admittedly appreciate the deals, I've told myself twice that that was the last one for me. I'm afraid this is experience is in the same boat.
gx1400@gx1400@LDphifty I apologize for the sparse updates for this drop. We have been continually getting conflicting shipment promises from Darn Tough, and it's been very difficult for us to rely on their shipment forecast at this point.
We've determined that we are unable to rely on Darn Tough to ship us the remaining order within a reasonable timeframe. As a result, we have sourced all of the remaining socks from numerous third party suppliers independently, and we are expecting the shipments to arrive starting tomorrow, with the last shipment scheduled by mid next week.
We understand the fulfillment time for this drop has been far too long, but we are very confident that everything will be wrapped up by next week. For everyone that are affected by this extended delay, we will also be including an extra pair of the Darn Tough work socks for the trouble.

I really hope that is a typo or you meant just the extra pair was the DT work socks. I joined this drop for 2 pairs of COOLMAX CUSHIONED BOOT SOCKS.
