I have spent a lifetime, well approaching a lifetime anyway, working in MT and WY wildernesses. I have always worn wool socks, and for the past decade or so, merino wool socks. Probably about four years ago I found out about these Darn Tough socks. I simply couldn't believe the "lifetime" warranty and wrote to the company to ascertain if it was true, and it is. Notwithstanding, I have found these socks to be worth every penny. They are super comfortable and I have yet to wear a hole in the big toe or heel (that is where my socks eventually wear out). I especially like the 1/4 size socks for biking, with runners, and for at night time. IMHO they far surpass the Icebreaker, Smartwool, Filson, Point 6, and etc. socks I have owned. Plus, I don't need to join this drop since my previously purchased DTs are covered for a lifetime ;-)
