Just thought I'd drop by to say.
There's no way these socks are worth 20 USD. After looking at them/ trying them on, the most I could sanely pay for these is 2 USD a pair.
Reasons:
1. Do not stay in place.
2. Toes are not proper and stick out/ hang loose.
3. Yes material is comfortable, but no so different (to me) from cotton socks - just a bit thinner than the Bombas I usually wear.
4. Lifetime warranty - pretty useless to international buyers I think.
I regret getting on the hype train and ridiculously overpaying for a product that just isn't worth it. So these socks are handmade in the US - how does that help me? Not at all...
Peace :).
mjacob@mjacob You say that, but without a review from someone like @deaman312 you would have never know if you like them or not without buying it......... Pretty stupid of a comment tbh.
mjacobAny review is obviously subjective to some degree, but can still give good information if paired with other reviews like the fact ive seen a ton of reviews saying they don't stay in place which is pretty important for those thinking of buying. Obviously if he made a good, detailed review people are going to like it, I don't see how that makes it "threadcrapping" especially when it has everything to do with the product......
aremihcHey there ,
I believe there is no right or wrong when it comes to ones opinion. Because it's just that - ones opinion.
I'm glad you like the socks and they make a worthwhile investment for you - I just don't feel the same.
deaman312I've bought many pairs of socks over the years. You get what you pay for, generally speaking... to a point. I've found that on average $10 per pair is about right for a really good quality sock. They'll last many years if you don't let them get exposed to the high heat of a dryer. High heat kills cotton fiber, by weakening it and sucking the "pulp" (lint) out of the fabric. Even still, if you are careful with drying your washed socks, they cannot avoid the abrasions of your shoes. They will wear out eventually. But even over the years there will be accidents and losses. I just can't see spending this much on socks... unless they have some kind of miracle textile technology that is highly resistant to the ravages of heat and shoe abrasion. Do these Darn Tough socks really stand up to those two considerations?
