Carroll.zvI'm not going to presume Carroll's actions, but it is important to note that these are wool socks, and therefore the yarn will start to fray and come apart if washed at high temperatures. IE. if you wash wool at 90°C they will be destroyed. I wash mine at 30°C and haven't had a problem so far.
I'm not saying that Carroll did cook the socks; these may well have have been duds, and I reckon Massdrop should swap them out; if not for warranty, as a good will act.
Carroll.zvSame exact thing happened to me. I always wash with cold water (not THAT cold in Houston) and they look really bad. Haven’t even worn them once!
