Many thanks to everyone for their questions about USB-C devices. Please allow me to clarify FINsix's offerings.
The version of Dart currently being offered here has 9 tips and is compatible with PC laptops from all major brands. It is not compatible with USB-C devices.
If you have a USB-C laptop, you will need to buy the Dart-C. Dart-C is compatible with USB-C laptops and other devices, including the new MacBook and MacBook Pro (13" and 15"), that are powered through a USB-C port. Dart-C will be available on Massdrop in the coming months (exact timing for a drop is TBD). Dart-C is currently available only on FINsix's website, but the lead time is long. Once supply becomes more plentiful, we will make it available on Massdrop.
If you own a PC laptop that requires a tip (barrel connector or rectangular Lenovo connector), you should buy Dart on Massdrop today. In the future, as you migrate to a USB-C laptop, you could buy a Dart-C cable and use it with your existing Dart (you don't need to buy a new charger, just the Dart-C cable). This will give you compatibility with USB-C laptops and other USB-C devices (phones, tablets...).
MD Roe is correct that there are other USB-C charger options on the market. The problem with these chargers is that they are big and bulky. Dart-C, like Dart, is significantly smaller, lighter, and more portable than any other laptop charging solution on the market. It offers an incredible value proposition to people who are constantly on-the-go. Both Dart and Dart-C provide a USB port in the cable so that you can charge any USB device (phone, tablet, GoPro, etc.) while your laptop is being charged.
