Check your laptop requirements very closely. 65w will work for some newer ultrabook, minimal type devices but many modern laptops require a greater wattage. Like most things trying for that "cool" look, they are designed with Apple MacBooks in mind (i.e. calling themselves "15 inch" compatible, etc.). But Macbooks/Apple, while dominate in the smartphone category, are a tiny fraction of the laptop market. And yes I know what I'm talking (long time employee at a major laptop/PC OEM).

RochambeauxI doubt it would work with my 15" MBP. I use an 85 watt charger. My 65 watt apple wart can barely charge it. Much less keep it running

cgageActually I was using Macbook in context to the 15" laptop designation you see for backpacks, messenger bags, etc. personally, if I ever owned an Apple device again (unlikely) I wouldn't use any non-Apple accessory on them. Apple is the epitome of closed loop, proprietary products.
