That two-port USB-3 hub though...
fkin ell, is what I wanna say 2 years ago if usb 3 hubs were mainstream to keyboards at the time. So still not good enough. So USB-C is the way forward! Das Keyboards need to get crackin.
ViraNot just Das but also Filco, Leopold and CoolerMaster which still never bothered to implement any extra USB slots on any of their keyboards.
Das is the ONLY one providing USB 3.0 here can't understand where the others went with ignoring this?
ElrickI see a mix of people liking and not liking usb hubs. The part where people don't like it was due to little extra bulk and cabling to the keyboard along with cost where it ends up not being used since it's only a mere USB-2. People will likely just end up using something else. It might be why not many brands implement them.
For myself, I personally don't mind them, I don't ever really use them myself, though, just not enough power.
If Das starts implementing USB-C, other brands will surely follow since USB-C allows a lot more possibilities where 2.0 and 3.0 falls short. I can certainly see myself using it more often. Certainly agree why other brands that has a hub ignore 3.0 all this time.
ViraI mainly like using USB 3.0 because USB-C is very rare and quite expensive. Hope in the future more USB-C gear is supplied and I shall jump on board.
Mainly use USB 3.0 for hard drive backups from my various PC's. Cheapest and easiest way to get data from certain setups without connecting a complicated network of ethernet cabling.
ElrickOne small thing to note. I've found several USB 3.0 devices that simply do not support running through a hub (External HDD controllers that require host ports). I've heard this is the reason for the relatively low popularity of USB 3.0 hubs. I haven't done much research, but hopefully USB 3.1 / Type-C solved this.
